Gather ‘Round with Winter Reading

Winter is finally here, sprinkling us all with snow and seasonal coziness. For some, winter can feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to. To help avoid hibernating for the entire season, HDL invites you to grab a warm cup of tea, gather with friends, crack open a good book, or join community activities that will bring us all closer together.

This year, our Winter Challenge has a bingo option! Along with a traditional reading tracking list, we also have a bingo game for Children, Teens, and Adults. Read and gather 'round with your community to cross off bingo boxes and win prizes. Yes, you read that right. This winter, if you read 5 books or complete a 5-square bingo, you can win a custom Herrick mug or a reading buddie stuffie.

What's better than cool prizes? More prizes! Read 5 additional books or cross off 5 additional bingo squares and you can enter our raffle for a grand prize.

You can pick up bingo cards at the information and circulation desks at both the main library and north branch beginning December 5th.
