What You'll Need
Use of the sewing machine is free. Aside from the tools and accessories listed above, patrons are required to bring their own supplies. Fabric and other materials can be purchased from local stores (Pressing Matters Quilt Shoppe and Fields Fabrics), most big box stores, and online craft stores like Spoonflower, JOANN Fabric, Michaels and many more.
Contact us with your questions if you are unsure which material to purchase for your project or don’t know if the material you need is compatible with the Singer 4452 machine.
Station Reservations
Groundworks’ sewing machine is available on first come, first served basis. HDL patrons may call to reserve the sewing machine during Groundworks’ open hours up to one day in advance. Please note:
- There is a 15-minute grace period before reservations are cancelled.
- Laptops are for use in the lower level only and cannot be checked out. A valid library card is needed to sign in.
- The computer shuts off and erases all data saved to it when a session expires.
- Reservations can be made up to 1 day in advance by calling Groundworks directly.
