I’ve always believed the best children’s books are little pockets of heart, humor, and magic, and I love them so much because, honestly, I never fully grew up. 😉 Picture books are my happy place, especially the ones that make kids giggle, spark a big feeling, or open up a brand-new idea. Before becoming a librarian, I was an elementary teacher, and I still adore helping kids discover stories that make them laugh, wonder, or feel seen.
I grew up as a devoted nonfiction reader, spending lots of time in the parenting, education, and self-help corners of the library. These days, I’ve added romantasy and YA to the mix (because who doesn’t love a little swoon with their adventure?). When I’m not reading, I’m usually collecting new hobbies, dreaming up library programs, or scheming ways our spaces can bring more light, joy, and connection into the world.
