Middle grade literature (books published for ages 8-12) has really exploded in the last couple of years. Especially when it comes to publishing diverse voices, and even tackling difficult issues. It's a great way to introduce kids to books that a little more difficult, but they're not quite read for teen books yet. You'll find some fantastic books in the children's section of the library.
