Favorite Fictional Friendships

While February is generally associated with celebrating romantic love, the love between friends is just as important! One of the ways we're celebrating friendship at the library for the month of February is with friendship bracelets. The week of Valentine's Day, join us a for a few days of bracelet making drop-ins in the Children's Activity Room:

To keep the friendship theme going, here are some of my favorite friendships found in books!

Frodo and Sam from The Fellowship of the Ring

Frodo would have never been able to complete his mission if it wasn't for Sam. They are definitely friendship goals!

Frog and Toad from Frog and Toad Are Friends

A friend who will go on ordinary adventures with you is the best kind of friend. Especially one that you can relax with.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The iconic trio from Harry Potter will do anything for each other. Harry would not have made it to the end without Hermione and Ron's help.

Piglet and Pooh from Winnie-the-Pooh

Pooh is always supportive of Piglet, even when Piglet is anxious about doing something. That encouragement is important in any friendship!

Wilbur and Charlotte from Charlotte's Web

Charlotte saves Wilbur from an unfortunate fate, and the two quickly become fast friends. We all need friends who uplift our positive qualities.
