Preserving What Matters

This fall, we invite you into a season of Preserving What Matters—a reflection on the people, practices, and stories that root us.
Especially when the days feel shorter, we turn to what endures: shared meals, quiet moments, traditions, and connections. Like the fall
harvest preserved for winter, this season is about honoring what nourishes us—culture, nature, wellness, and community. Together, we’ll
explore how what we care about can be carried forward.

Programs around this theme range from tours of the Holland Museum archives to vermicomposting, junk journaling to managing digital images for events and more. Add these in with our Big, Little, and Middle Read Lakeshore programs, Marvel Week, and technology programs, and a wonderfully full and fun fall unfolds at your library.
