Summer Challenge

"Explore the Shore" invites you to step beyond the familiar. Find the courage to 􀀤tr􀀥tch you: boundaries-both geographical and personal-and dip your toe into something new. Through curiosity, reading, and shared experience, explore the edges of your world and discover what lies just beyond.

Summer Reading Challenge

For this year's Summer Reading Challenge we're playing "Explore the Shore" with our area park partners:
BPW, ODC, Ottawa County Parks and the City of Holland Parks and Recreation. "Explore the Shore" invites you to step beyond the familiar. Find the courage to stretch your boundaries-both geographical and personal and dip your toe into something new.

Summer Challenge game/reading logs will be available for in-person pickup at either library location after June 8. The program runs through August 8.

Choose how you want to participate in the reading challenge:

  • Complete activities to follow the game board AND/OR
  • Set a reading goal and finish the reading log

Find free fun events at your library and out in the community this summer. Check our events page to find the summer events for kids, teens, or adults.

Win prizes by bringing your completed game board or reading log to either library location August 8 through August 15. Enter drawings and select prize - including a free book! Prizes are available while supplies last so mark your calendar for this end-of-summer beach ball and be among the first to choose from the prize options.
