Part-Time B Groundworks Assistant

$20.06 to $25.64 per hour

Do you enjoy playing with technology, learning new creative skills, and helping others to do the same? Herrick District Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support Groundworks, our digital media makerspace, and to help patrons access the library’s resources in new, out-of-the-box ways.

Primary duties include engaging guests with hands-on creative projects, assisting patrons with equipment, and planning and presenting how-to classes and events. This position will also help display projects, promote collections, and circulate the Library of Things collection. 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and familiarity with computers and technology.

Tentative weekly schedule: (hours may vary and there is some flexibility)

Four days per week

Four hours per shift              9-1pm, 11-3pm, or 4:30-8:30pm    

Every third Sat                       9:00am-1:00pm

Occasional Sun                      1:00pm-6:00pm
