Full-Time Assistant I – Public Services
$20.76 - $26.54 per hour with full benefits
The Herrick District Library is seeking a responsible, service-minded Library Assistant to join our team in the Public Services department at the Main Library. Library Assistants perform a wide range of library functions that encourage our community to connect, discover, and create.
Primary duties include helping patrons at the Information desk, providing technology support, and planning and presenting programs for adults, particularly in Spanish or other non-English languages. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree. Spanish fluency is required.
Weekly schedule: (hours may vary and there is some flexibility)
- Monday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Wednesday 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (off when working Saturday)
- Every 3rd Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Occasional Sun 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
