There may be some debate as to whether or not listening to audiobooks counts as reading (it very much does), but no one debates how immersive an experience it can be. Even if you listen while performing other tasks, hearing an audiobook can still whisk you away to far-off worlds and new experiences. A large part of that experience is the reader themselves.
