Baseball in the summer, ahhh. America's pastime, yes. America's favorite sport, not so much anymore. Oh, don't be sad. Major league baseball still thrives from April to October. And if we are talking sports movies, I don't think any other sport generates passion and emotions like great baseball films.
On the Fourth of July, my family celebrated with friends around a bonfire, and when the sun set, a movie. We borrowed the HDL Library of Things Projector and 100-in screen to watch it in the driveway. It was awesome! But we couldn't watch just any movie, we needed something that radiated summer feelings, and was mostly family-friendly: The Sandlot. A movie filled with baseball summer fun with friends, a legendary junkyard dog, and s'mores (instructions included!).
