It's a new year, and time to look back at 2022. And as we book lovers like to do, it's also time to look back on the best books of the year. I always enjoy poring over the "Best Books" lists that are published around this time of year, and to see which ones I've also read and enjoyed.
The Method
In compiling this "best of the best" list, I've included the best books from many different sources--I've drawn from critically acclaimed sources like School Library Journal and Kirkus, but I've also included the best sellers from Amazon's end-of-year list, and the favorites from book blogs like Book Riot. My hope is that by doing this I've included both prominent potential award-winners as well as popular best-sellers (and hopefully some books that are both!)
I've really enjoyed putting this list together, though my TBR pile has certainly grown! I hope you and the young readers in your life enjoy it too!
