Educators who work with students in our library’s service area are invited to apply for HDL’s Educator eCards. Here are some FAQs about this offering:
What is the purpose of an Educator eCard?
We know the students who attend school in the Holland area typically live within our service area, but their teachers may not. If educators become familiar with our online collections and how they work, they can help steer families to our collection and get more materials in the hands of eager young readers, serving as public library ambassadors. We also suspect that our eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, and videos (Hoopla has great Picture Book Read Alongs!) will come in handy in your classroom as you make accommodations to meet the literacy needs of your students.
What can I check out with my Educator eCard?
You can access virtual materials, including our Hoopla and Libby collections of eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, music, and videos.
Can I check out any physical books or movies inside the library with an Educator eCard?
No, at this time, only virtual materials can be accessed with our eCard.
