HDL Maker-in-Residence: Alynn Guerra

Join us in welcoming our Summer 2025 Maker-in-Residence, Alynn Guerra!

Born and raised in Mexico City, Alynn Guerra has lived in West Michigan more than half her life, providing her with bilingual and bi-cultural insight. She is a printmaker and illustrator whose work uses bold black and white images with accents of color and is inspired by nature-human relationships, the environment and her Latin-American background.

Guerra is a member of the Tanglefoot Artists Studio community in Grand Rapids and the owner of Red Hydrant Press printmaking studio (redhydrantpress.com). You can also find her work on Instagram, @redhydrantpress.

Alynn is offering our community two workshops this summer, Intro to Printmaking for Kids on July 24th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Main Library, and Intro to Printmaking for Teens & Adults on August 7th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the North Branch.
