Library for Little Ones

The big kids are in school, and we have a great selection of weekly early literacy offerings for all the little kids, ages 0-5, here at the library.  Check the calendar of events for other special programs for this age group. 

Storytimes: 

Storytimes involve rhymes, songs, stories, fingerplays, and bounces, with a casual playtime following each program.  The Sensory-Friendly storytime recommends registering in advance to keep the group intentionally small as children with sensory processing disorders and sensitivities practice regulation in a structured environment.

Playtimes: 

We provide a variety of playtime options at both locations.  Grab a coffee and chat with other grownups at the Parent Meetups at the Main Library.  At the North Branch, our normal storytime sessions will be replaced with themed drop-in playtimes once a month, which are meant to encourage children to use their senses as they play.
