Miss Heather’s Favorite Daily Games

Like many people back in 2021/2022 I became a daily Wordle player. I loved the idea of a quick fun brain game that could be played by multiple age groups. My love of Wordle led me down a path of discovering even more of these fun, quick daily brain games.

So, I’ve made a list to share with you, if you’re looking for a quick fun game that changes on the daily, I’ve got a list to get you started!

First, these are my 3 favorite NYT games.  Also, if you didn’t know the library has a subscription to the New York Times so you can access all the things behind that pay wall.

New York Times Games:

  • Wordle
  • Pips
  • Connections

More Word Games:

Waffle is essentially Wordle laid out in a grid.

Quordly is like playing 4 Wordles at once.

  • Has some annoying pop-up ads

Betweenle is like a logic based alphabetizing game.

Geography Games:

Worldle shows you the outline of a country and you have to figure out what country it is and then guess/answer more facts about the country.

Statle is like Worldle except it’s just one of the States.

https://statele.teuteuf.fr/

This is a fun one where they show you a picture that was taken in the United States and then you have to guess what state.

https://wheretakenusa.teuteuf.fr/

This is the same as the one above except it’s a picture taken somewhere in the world.

Now, geogrid is a very challenging geography game, with multiple correct answers. Because there are multiple answers, you can score more points if the correct answer you gave was less mentioned than another correct answer. This is a truly challengeing one, but you learn a lot.

Math Games:

Nerdle is like Wordle but with a math sentence.

https://nerdlegame.com/

Sumplete is a logic based math game very similar to a logic puzzle where you are given clues and eliminate possibilities.

https://sumplete.com/

This one challenges you to make the numbers 1-10 using 4 given numbers and math operators.

Color Theory:

Colorfle is an exercise in color theory, where you are given a color and you try to match it by mixing 3 or 4 other colors together. If you’ve ever enjoyed guessing what a paint color will be after watching them add colors to a base, this ones for you.
