Although we love our seed library, we're librarians—not gardening experts. Our expertise lies in finding you the resource that will answer your question. Sometimes that means pointing you to a book, and sometimes that means referring you to another organization. Today, I'm here to introduce you to the Michigan State University's Extension.
According to the National Institute of Food and Agriculture's website, "Through extension, land-grant colleges and universities bring vital, practical information to agricultural producers, small business owners, consumers, families, and young people." Michigan State's extension is full of information from the experts about gardening. Visit their website here.
The MSU Extension's Ask Extension form also gives you the opportunity to ask an expert about what's stumping you or confusing you in your agricultural exploits. Is a pest terrorizing your plants? Has a blight decimated your tomatoes? Got questions about cross-pollination and saving seeds? Send in your question and photos and a master gardener will respond to you.
If you've got a question we don't know the answer to, give the Ask Extension tool a try!
