Teen Art Gallery continues this month! This month we are doing something a little different. For July, we aren't focusing on a specific art medium but instead a theme.
Our theme for the summer is Choose Your Adventure. To go along with this teens 11 to 18 will design an Adventure-themed bookmark using pencils, markers, crayons, paints, watercolor, digitally, or a combination of mediums. The manner of making the design is up to you.
What is an Adventure-themed bookmark? Well, it could be a bookmark that has the word "adventure" drawn on it in a cool way, or it could be a picture of what you think an adventure might look like. The choice is yours on how to show Adventure.
This month's art gallery is also different because it is a contest. Teens can submit their bookmark designs from July 1st through the 15th. Then at the end of July, the community will vote on their favorite bookmark design. The design with the most votes will receive a prize and the library will have the design created into actual bookmarks distributed at the library.
Don't have art supplies at home? No worries! We will have some art supplies available to use at the library when you pick up the contest form. The form does have the full details on the rules for the contest.
