Vermicomposting: What’s That???

If you’re anything like me, you might not know much about vermicomposting. Fear not — I’m here to give you the full scoop on this exciting way to compost!

What is vermicomposting?
In short, it’s the process of using earthworms to decompose organic waste (rather than relying solely on microorganisms). This creates a nutrient-rich soil amendment called worm castings, or vermicompost. I can’t think of a more sustainable way to recycle food scraps, yard waste, and other organic materials while reaping the benefits of a valuable resource for your garden!

If I still haven’t made you a believer, I invite you to join us for a Vermicomposting 101 hands-on workshop and see for yourself!

If you can't make the workshop, feel free to checkout some of these books!
