Bats at the Library

October is a great month for all things spooky. In honor of these spooky vibes, we have a special nocturnal guest coming to visit the library at the end of October: Stellaluna! To celebrate her visit, we have a variety of events where you can learn all about bats and nature’s nightlife.

On October 22, the Leslie Science and Nature Center is going to guide us in the world of Nature's Nightlife. They’ll be at the North Branch from 11 AM -12 PM and at the Main Library from 1 PM -2 PM. On October 26, join Stellaluna on the North Branch Lawn from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM for a special preschool storytime. And finally, on October 29 at the Main Library from 10 AM – 11 AM, join us for a special bilingual bat storytime and get the chance to meet Stellaluna.

As you get ready to celebrate all things bats this October at the library, check out some of these picture books featuring our nocturnal friends!
