HDL Summer Reading Challenge 2024

Helloooooo, summer!

Here at HDL, we're excited to partner with Reader's World and The Bluestocking Bookshop for this years' Summer Reading Challenge (Cue applause). That means more books! More reading! More locations to visit! More fun! And did I mention more books?

This year's challenge runs from June 10 - August 10. Visit the library or either bookshop to pick up a summer flyer with this year's game board, instructions on how to play, and a full list of programs to get excited about all summer long. If you stop by any of our locations on opening day (June 10), you'll get a bonus surprise.

Throughout the summer, there will also be chances to win extra prizes at each of our partner locations! Check your game board for opportunities to "check-in" with us this summer.

And don't forget to mark your calendars for an ending ceremony to remember. The Fandom Fair will be held at Herrick's North Branch on August 10th from 10:00am-2:00pm. Come dressed up as your favorite book character and bring your completed Summer Reading Challenge game board to receive your prize. (Or stop by either library location between August 10-17).
