The Holland Sentinel
Get free access to the current paper as well as old issues as far back as 1997. Access the Holland Sentinel Collection through our website and use your library card number and PIN (which should be the last four digits of your telephone number) to login and start browsing. If you are looking for articles from before 1997, you can stop into the library and find it on microfilm.
The New York Times
The New York Times is available to Herrick District Library users for free through the PressReader app and website. Gain access to the daily paper and games right through the free app. If using on a computer, find the link to PressReader on our website and login with your library card number and PIN.
You can also access The Economist magazine and USA Today in PressReader along with dozens of American and international newspapers.
The Wall Street Journal
Once you have created a free Wall Street Journal account using our website link, you will have a three-day pass from the library. You can get a new pass every three days for as long as you are interested in reading the Wall Street Journal.
Ground News
Now that you have access to all of this news, maybe you want to dig a little deeper into the trustworthiness of that news. Ground News can help with that. Ground News is a service that collects all of the news sources and lets people know if they are left or right-leaning and how reliable of a news source it is. You can also see who owns the news source. If you create a free account with Ground News, they will also pull out news you might have missed. To get 30 days of free access to Ground News, use our link though OverDrive to get started. Next month, come back and get 30 more free days. Once you have your 30 days of access active, you can also use the Ground News app on your smart device.
