Noon Year’s Eve Take & Makes

It’s that time of year again! As we say farewell to 2021 and reflect on what a year it's been (and it certainly has!), HDL has a great way to let our little ones share in the celebration!

Take & Make kits will be available to pick up on a first-come, first-served basis beginning December 1st  at both the Main Library and the North Branch, and they’re great for any kids who probably won’t make it to midnight.

What's In the Kits?

Inside, you’ll find a party hat and some stickers with which to decorate it, jingle bells and supplies to turn them into fun noise makers, chenille stems to make a firework ring, count down cards, and supplies to make a confetti flinger!

We recommend that you pick up your kit and make the crafts ahead of time so they’re ready for the Noon Year’s Eve program we’ll have available virtually on December 31st. All the instructions are included in the kit as well as supplies, but you’ll want to bring your creativity as well.

How Do We Celebrate Together?

Then, on December 31st at 11:30 AM join us on Facebook to celebrate and count down to the new year with us! And as a special bonus, we’re going to have two mystery guests join us virtually!

We’re excited for you to join us on December 31st, but that’s kind of a long time to wait. In the meantime, check out these New Year’s Eve-themed books available at the library.
