This year's Winter Reading Challenge is upon us and the Herrick District Library would like to invite you to participate with us. This year's challenge will feature a familiar feel for those of you that have participated before. The challenge sheet will be available starting Saturday, December 6th and will be the same for all ages (even adults) to read and do activities through our colder months. The Winter Reading Challenge is available in both English and Spanish.
How can you participate this year? Simply stop by either of the Herrick District Library locations and pick up a Winter Reading Challenge sheet. Once you have your challenge sheet, you have until the Saturday, February 14th to either read and log 5 books on the list side of the challenge sheet or complete a bingo on the bingo side. Completing either of those will earn you a prize which can be picked up between February 14th and February 21st. The prizes will be available while supplies last.
What is that prize? You'll have to ask a staff member at one of the desks to find out. If you want to be put in a drawing for one of the grand prizes, each participant can read an additional 5 books or fill in 5 more bingo squares. (It doesn't have to be another bingo.)
