Using the Online Catalog
Once you are logged in, the “My Borrowing” section of your account page will have information about your holds and checked out items.
To make a payment, log in to your library account. If this is your first time logging in online, you will need to create a user ID. After creating your user ID, you can use it or your library card number to log in. Your PIN is usually the last four digits of your phone number. Once logged in:
- In “My Library Dashboard,” scroll down and select “Fees” (in the menu on the left side). Mobile users may have to log in again.
- Select “Pay Fees.”
To keep a list of the materials you've checked out from the library, you must first turn on your browsing history.
- Login to your library account and choose "My Settings" from the menu.
- Under "Borrowing History" choose "Change" next to "Your borrowing history is disabled."
- Click on the OFF button to change it to ON.
From this point forward, your borrowing history will be available. You may opt out at any time or print the entire list.
The library takes your privacy very seriously. Your library account details, personal information, and borrowing history are never shared with anyone. When you create a new account in the catalog, the account is automatically set to Private. To learn how to manage the social features of the catalog, please contact us.

PIN
Your PIN is usually set to the last four digits of your phone number. If that does not work, try resetting your PIN online by going to the library account login page and clicking "Forgot your PIN?".
Log in to your library account. Under your username (upper right corner), scroll down and select “My Settings,” then click on “PIN” to update.

Holds
Your home library is the library location where you choose to pick up your holds. All holds will automatically go to your home library and only your home library. Contact a staff member at either HDL location for more information.
When you have been notified your holds are ready for pickup, you can collect them from the hold shelf inside the library (holds are alphabetical by borrower’s last name) or use our curbside service during our open hours.
See our Curbside Service Instructions for information on how to use curbside pickup at either of our locations.
You will be notified via automated phone call when your holds are ready. You can also opt in to receive email notices or receive text notifications instead of a phone call.
To ensure that you receive email notices, please be sure to verify your email address by clicking on the link in your email.

Fines and Fees

As a courtesy, you can sign up to receive email reminders or to receive text notifications when an item is coming due. If items are not returned on their due date, overdue notices will be sent via automated phone call, email, or text message (depending on your selected preference).
To ensure that you receive email notices, please be sure to verify your email address by clicking on the link in your email.
*Failure to receive a notice of any type does not waive your responsibility for the timely return of materials or from any subsequent fines, fees, or charges.
Fines under $10.00 will not affect card holder privileges. If an account has a balance of $10.00 or over, certain services (including item check outs) will become unavailable. Once the account balance is resolved, full access will be restored.
